If you have a knocked-out tooth, handle it by the crown rather than the root and keep it moist while you call our office. If you've chipped or broken a tooth, rinse your mouth with warm water and save any pieces if you can. For swelling, applying a cold compress to the outside of your face may help until you're seen.
Our team makes every effort to leave room in our schedule for emergency appointments, and we can often see patients the same day. For patients who feel anxious about emergency treatment, we offer nitrous oxide sedation to help you stay calm and comfortable. Whenever possible, we also complete treatment during your emergency visit to help relieve pain and restore your smile.
